Biography Craig Beattie joined
Albion from Celtic on
Tuesday 3rd July 2007 for an initial £1.25m rising to £1.75m depending on add-on. The
pacey and direct striker struggled with injuries in his
time at
Celtic Park after joining from rivals Rangers.
He joined Celtic in July 2003 and made 65 appearances
(many as sub) scoring 16 goals in the process before
joining
Albion.
After leaving Rangers he came to prominence at Celtic
after scoring all 6 goals in a 6-0 friendly win against
Derry
City which took him to the first team squad where he
gained Champions League experience as well as League
Championship winning medals along with Scottish Cup and
League Cup honours.
At the time of writing he has made 4 full appearances
for Scotland scoring once in March 2007 against
Georgia. |
