REGISTERING
Assuming you've arrived at the forum as a guest and wish
to register, you should be looking at one of these two
things:
Any page of the forum, in which you case you should
select Register from the main menu.
A login screen headed by a warning about access being
restricted to registered members, in which case you
should either use the registration link provided or
select Register from the main menu.
When you arrive at the registration screen, you will
need to enter a username, email address and password,
and may be offered the option of hiding your email
address. Since most forums also require you to agree to
their terms of use before your registration is accepted,
you will normally have to read the agreement and check I
Agree before continuing. What happens next depends on
how the forum is configured, but, if the next thing you
see is a login screen headed by a message inviting you
to proceed, that's it, you're through and you can
proceed to login! If not, there are two further
possibilities:
If registration has been configured to require email
activation, the next screen will tell you so and you
should receive an immediate email with instructions
about how to proceed. But there's also a useful link
('Did you miss your activation email?') in the User Info
box in case you miss this email or mistype your email
address.
The registration has not been configured to require approval
from a forum administrator, so the next screen will tell
you so and you should receive both an acknowledgement by
email and another email later to inform you.
We currently have
four administrators on this site, Glenn, Guesty,
Dudleylad and Rich. Along with eight Global Moderators,
Johnny Throstle, Mrs Gilchrist, Carlie, tommcneill,
Chris, Dave, wbatesy and Vince Lombardi. Because of the number of Admin
and GM's this site is (hopefully) very well looked
after. There is usually at least one of us around if you
want us for anything.
As you scroll down the main page, you will see a Contact
Admin section. If you have a problem, you can post it in
there and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Alternatively, you can contact us by Personal Message (aka
Instant Message). We do have a few rules which have to
be adhered to for the smooth running of the messageboard
and the happiness of its members:
MESSAGE BOARD RULES
1 - Rival fans will be allowed to access these forums.
However, any abusive or problematic rival fans will be
banned without question and their posts will be removed.
2 - There is to be No Racism on the message board.
3 - There is No sexism on this message board. A sense of
humour is allowed, but I'm sure we all know where to
draw the line.
4 - There are to be No Threats made towards any other
member.
5 - There is to be No Over - Aggressive / Abusive
posting towards any other member. We all have opinions
after all.
6 - ALL Admin and Global Moderators are to be treated
with respect. Feel free to debate with them all you like
on the message board but when decisions concerning
discipline or running of the message board are made,
these decisions MUST be respected.
7 - No-one is permitted to post using another persons
user name.
8 - IM's / PM's should be private between two members
and should not be passed on to anyone else except Admin
(if necessary) without the senders permission. You can
report a IM/PM as you can any post or thread should you
feel that the IM/PM sent to you is in any way offensive.
Only Admin will look into these reported allegations.
9 - Any complaints regarding posts should be sent to
Admin / GM by IM not via Contact Admin / GM board. That
board should be used for General Enquiries.
11 - On WestBrom.com you are not limited to 180
characters like in a text message, so please do not use
'text talk' in your posts. Please don't just reply with
one word answers, give your opinions. If a member
continues to use text talk, then they will be
warned/banned.
12 - Members are given the ability to create their own
signature. However image signatures are a no no, as they
slow the loading of each page down, and therefore
shouldn't be used. Text signatures if used should be
small in size, and kept to black text opposed to colour
which the moderating team use. Please do not use bold
writing. All these points detract from the actual post.
Your respect of this is appreciated in advance.
13 - Posting - We have a number of boards on this site.
Please make sure you place your posts in the appropriate
place.
14 - Multiple Accounts - For obvious reasons members are
only permitted to have one account per person.
15 - Please refrain from posting on behalf of banned
members
The Admin and Global Moderator team run this board
voluntarily. Sometimes we have to make difficult or
unpopular decisions. If you wish to abuse mods or admin
for doing their job, you can expect some time off.
Admin and Global Moderators DO have the right to ban
outright without warning. Ok, all ages, sexes, and
nationalities are welcome on this message board just as
long as they are Baggies fans. Please feel free to use
the Off Topic Forum also, to talk about anything you
like, whatever the subject. We also have the right to
change rules on this forum without giving notice to
members.
Banning Information
When you breach any of these rules a member of the
Admin/GM team will normally warn you via Personal
Message first. If you fail to stop and persist with your
behaviour then a 7 day posting ban will be issued to
you. If after that you continue to disrupt the forum
then a total ban will be issued.
Membergroups
When posting on the site, there are levels in which a
member can reach and they will be ranked in certain
groups, example of the group categories are below:
Membergroups - These are based on number of posts you
make on the Forum.
