Most fans will get into the Royal Oak. Away fans tend to go in the bar

Baggies fans going through into the lounge at the back. It's normally safe for
both sets of fans although there has previously been some bother against Birmingham
and Wolves, so maybe one to avoid on local Derby day games.
Directions: To
get there from the ground head towards Birmingham on the Birmingham
Road (A41), bear right at traffic lights where the Road becomes
Holyhead Road. The pub is just along on the right.

Beer:

Information:
An unusual Victorian pub buried in the backstreets of West Bromwich
but very popular with both both sets of supporters - in fact I think
that everyone seems to go there. When you enter the pub, you
enter into a fairly standard sort of bar full of chatting locals in 3
small rooms. A little further back along the corridor you step into a
large airy sky-lit room with families sat at tables eating a wide
variety of curries and kebabs. Then, right at the back there's a sort
of a café style room with plastic bucket-seats and, wait for it, an
indoor barbecue with chefs busily cooking a range of Tandoori
starters. They're very popular and the marinades are made using a
secret recipe. The curries really are excellent value for money
(generally less than the price of 2 pints of beer!) and go down very
well with a pint of their real ale. They generally only have one real
ale on offer but they change it frequently. Oh yes, and for those of
you that don't like curries, they do offer other food options.
Directions:
To get there from
the Ground go across the M5 roundabout towards West Bromwich Town
Centre (Birmingham Road) and turn left into Roebuck Street. The pubs
at the bottom on the corner.

Most baggies fans will remember this pub for its infamous battle with
the villa a few years ago. Now the bar has a TV and pool table
with its the entrance on the left as you face the pub, the lounge
which serves pub food also is the central door. Park back on the dual
carriageway on Island Road or Sandwell Lane and the ground is then
only a 5-10 minute stroll.
Directions:
To get there from
the Ground head towards
Birmingham
on the Birmingham Road (A41), turn left at traffic lights (A4040)
onto Island Road, this becomes Sandwell Road - Oxhill Road is at the
bottom of the hill and so is the pub.

the local Asian owned pubs that specialise is good Asian fast food
and curries to go with your beer.
