This
section of the site takes a layman's look at what goes on beyond the
teams performance on the pitch. The arguments will always run on and
on as how the club should or shouldn't be run and this put simply is
just our view following the takeover of WBA plc by WBA Holdings in
December 2004. and the cancellation of the Stock Market listing,
shares in West Bromwich Albion are now privately traded. The Club
have said there will be a mechanism put in place to help shareholders
to find people willing to buy any shares that they wish to sell, but
no details have been made available yet.
At the moment, just over half of the issued shares in WBA Holdings
are held by the Chairman, Jeremy Peace, and a few per cent by the
other Board members. The remainder are held mainly by supporters,
some of whom invested during the Rights Issues that took place during
1994.
